This afternoon your Beat Officers PC Cox and PC Denney successfully seized two vehicles at the same time in the J7 M20 area of Maidstone as part of our ongoing commitment to road safety and tackling uninsured driving.

Earlier in the day, one vehicle was seen travelling at excessive speed on Detling Hill by an off-duty officer. Checks revealed it had no insurance, tax, or MOT. Less than an hour later, we located the vehicle whilst the occupants were attempting to recover a broken-down lorry that had been abandoned in the area for several weeks. That lorry was declared SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification), whilst also having no insurance.

Both vehicles were seized for no tax and have now been taken off the road.
