Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour

Following reports from a concerned resident about persistent anti-social behaviour, Maidstone’s Community Safety Unit took swift action. The victim had been subjected to repeated incidents, including damage to their front door caused by a group of youths.

In response, plain clothes patrols were deployed in the area—and one of the offenders was caught in the act. Officers have also carried out house-to-house enquiries, reviewed CCTV footage, and taken statements to support the investigation.

Three of the offenders had been detained and their parents have been informed about the behaviour of their children, and one young person will be attending a voluntary interview as part of our ongoing enquiries.

We want to reassure the community that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in Maidstone. We are committed to addressing it robustly and supporting those affected.
