We've seen a number of motorbike thefts reported across Maidstone, and
we're asking owners to take a few simple steps to help keep their bikes
secure and reduce the risk of further incidents.
Tips to help keep your motorbike safe:
Use a high quality disc lock or chain when leaving your bike attended
Lock your bike to a fixed, immovable object wherever possible
Consider using a tracking device or alarm system
Park in well-lit, secure areas covered by CCTV
Cover your motorbike to make it visible to opportunistic thieves
Keep keys secure and out of sight at home
We're actively patrolling hotspot areas, reviewing CCTV, and working with
partners to identify those responsible. Your information also plays a
vital role - please report any suspicious behaviour around parked
motorbikes or sightings of abandoned bikes.
