Emergency Road Closure - Boxley Road, Maidstone - 20th July 2026 (Maidstone)

It will be necessary to close Boxley Road, Maidstone from 20th July 2026 for up to 5 nights.

The road will be closed at the Boxley roundabout and all junctions joining the roundabout.

The alternative route is via Boxley Road, Sandy Lane, The Street, Pilgrims Way, Lidsing Road, Westfield Sole Road, Walderslade Woods, A229 J3 Interchange A2045 Link, Taddington Wood Roundabout, M2 junction 3 to junction 4 On Slip, Bluebell Hill Slip Link Bridge, Lord Lees Roundabout, Bluebell Hill Slip South On, Blue Bell Hill, Kits Coty Slip Southbound Off, Kits Coty Slip southbound on Chatham Road to Kits Coty Slip northbound, Blue Bell Hill Slip, Cobtree Roundabout, Running Horse Roundabout, Sandling Lane to Royal Engineers Road to Stacey Street, to Lower Boxley Road, to Boxley Road, and vice versa.

Please note this is the main diversion as there are 2 other diversions.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 20:30 hrs and 05:00 hrs each night.

This is to enable resurfacing works, to be carried out by Kent County Council.
